Volunteer

For even the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve...

Mark 10:45

We have many opportunities for our members to serve the church, each other and our community.  From clean up days after the major church holidays to hosting Autumn in the Field, we are an active congregation always looking for champions to take on new adventures!

Volunteer Leaders

Ted and Cheryl Jarosz

Ted and Cheryl lead our Autumn in the Field committee.  We're always looking for helping hands with the largest event of the year!

Michael Polinski and Lance Thies

Mike and Lance lead our Senior Youth (grades 9-12), engaging them on Sunday mornings in bible class and in other activities and trips.

Laura Wetherbee

Laura serves as our Junior Youth (grades 5-8) leader and has events planned throughout the year

Serve in our church

Use your unique gifts to help build the Kingdom.

Join us in so many ways of working in our congregation, all to the glory of God.  You can use your hands during clean up days, serving coffee hour or during special projects.  Or be a part of our worship service as a member of Hannah Guild or an Usher.  After church, use your teaching skills in Sunday School or bible classes... or, want to try something new?  We'd love to hear about it!

Volunteer FAQ

How do I volunteer?

Track down our Pastor or any member of the Church Council, Trustees or Elders.  Looking for something specific?  Ask our Secretary or others about a good contact name!

I like to work with kids or fun activities, how can I help?

Our Sunday School team, led by Denise Pilz, is always looking for volunteers to help teach the kids or even substitute if the regular teacher is not able to make it that Sunday.  Want to help with a church picnic or special meal, check with Laura Wetherbee.  Have another idea?  We'd love to help you get started!

I like to sing or play an instrument and want to help with music, how can I?

Dennis Zimmer, our Kantor, is a great resource for figuring out the ways in which you can help, sing or even play!  Dennis leads our choirs, handbells and soloists and is an accomplished musician who can help find just the right role for you, even if you just want to talk 'shop' with him.

I like to work with my hands, how can I help around church?

Our Trustees are the caretakers of the congregation and are always looking for opportunities to improve our facilities.  If you have a special training, job or just a strong interest in physical work, repairs and clean up, contact our Head Trustee, Ted Jarosz.
